The Signing and Opening Ceremony of LVTC College-Enterprise Joint Scientific Research Platforms Held in Guantang Campus

LVTC, together with Guangxi Automotive Research Institute, Liuzhou Automobile Testing Co., Ltd., Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd., has jointly built 7 research platforms, such as Guangxi Automotive Research Institute-LVTC Joint Research and Development Center. This cooperation is a vivid practice of accelerating the realization of innovation-led development in Liuzhou and promoting college-enterprise cooperation in a wider range, in a deeper degree, and at a higher level, which is conducive to building partnerships, realizing complementary advantages, and strengthening collaborative innovation. It marks a new stage of college-enterprise joint scientific and technological innovation in an all-round, high-level, and multi-field way.

Wen Jian, Deputy Director of Liuzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Jin Lei, Deputy Director of Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, Yu Dawen, Deputy Director of Liudong New District Management Committee and President of Guangxi Automotive Research Institute, Li Qinde, Director of Human Resources of Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Chen Hao, Director of Technology Center of Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Peng Danli, Director of Human Resources of LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd., and Xia Sheng, Chief Engineer of National Automobile Quality Inspection and Test Center (Guangxi), attended the ceremony. Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, and Gan Jinming, President of LVTC attended the ceremony. Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC presided the ceremony.

Liu Zilin pointed out in his speech that building scientific research platforms with enterprises is a concrete action for LVTC to conscientiously implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statement on scientific and technological innovation. The platforms will play a strong supporting role for the development of LVTC in personnel training, project application, scientific and technological achievements transformation and other aspects, and inject strong impetus for the development of LVTC. In the future, LVTC will focus on the new platforms, strengthen science and technology exchanges and cooperation between LVTC and enterprises, and continue to deepen the innovation and reform of internal mechanism and system. LVTC will also increase funding for scientific research and attract high-level talents to our college, promote the application of more achievements, and truly realize the synergy and deep integration of education, science and technology, and human resources. It is expected that the scientific research platform jointly built by schools and enterprises will achieve fruitful results in talent training and improvement, joint technical research, and scientific research achievements, so as to provide a new engine for Liuzhou to achieve higher-quality innovation and development and create new momentum and new advantages.

Jin Lei pointed out that he hoped LVTC and enterprises could take the opening ceremony as an opportunity to give full play to their respective resource advantages, innovate cooperation methods, create cooperation models, and set up cooperation benchmarks. The two sides also need to strengthen the endogenous driving force of industry-college-research collaborative innovation, continuously improve the efficiency and level of research platforms, promote the deeper integration of innovation chains and industrial chains, facilitate breakthroughs in key core technologies and generic technologies that constrain industrial development, and promote the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy.

Chen Hao, as a representative of the enterprise, pointed out that Guangxi Automobile Group will give full play to the leading role of enterprises, make joint efforts with LVTC, further explore the mechanism of information, talent, technology, and resource sharing, and constantly deepen school-enterprise collaborative innovation and integrated innovation. In the future, they will build the R&D and trial production center into a high-level scientific and technological innovation platform to attract first-class talents, provide first-class services, and create first-class results, and help the high-quality development of Liuzhou Automobile Industry.

On the same day, the signing and opening ceremony of the College-Enterprise Joint Scientific Research Platforms were held. Seven scientific research platforms were officially established, including the Guangxi Automotive Research Institute-LVTC Joint Research and Development Center, the National Automobile Quality Inspection and Test Center (Guangxi)-LVTC Innovation Center, the Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd.-LVTC R&D and Trial Production Center, the R&D and Trial Production Sub-center of Guangxi Automotive Parts Engineering Technology Research Center, the R&D and Trial Production Sub-center of Guangxi Special Vehicle Engineering Technology Research Center, the Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd.-LVTC Science and Technology Innovation Center, and the LVTC Science and Technology Innovation Center of Guangxi Construction Machinery New Energy and Independent Operation Key Laboratory.

In recent years, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, under the correct leadership of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Liuzhou Municipality, and with the care and help of all sectors of society, LVTC has actively served the strategies of "Manufacturing Power", "Powerful Industrial Guangxi" and "Liuzhou Modern Manufacturing City", and continuously deepened the integration of industry and education and the integration of science and education. The college has explored and formed the distinctive college-running characteristics of "focusing on the advanced manufacturing industry and integrating into the high-end industry", embarked on an innovative development path with close combination of production, study, scientific research, and practical application, produced a number of scientific and technological innovation achievements, and become an inseparable technological innovation partner of enterprises. LVTC has participated in the drafting of one national technical standard, led the drafting of nine local standards, jointly built eight Liuzhou Engineering Technology Research Centers with enterprises, completed 138 scientific and technological innovation programs, and provided 252 technical services for enterprises in the industry. The college also has been granted 618 authorized patents, including 95 patents for invention.

The establishment of open, innovative, and shared scientific research platforms jointly built by LVTC and enterprises is a useful attempt and exploration of industry-college-research collaborative innovation. LVTC aims to gather and integrate relevant scientific research forces and innovation resources, focus on making breakthroughs in industrial generic technologies, key technologies, and forward-looking technologies, promote the transformation of industrial achievements and industry incubation, and cultivate high-quality scientific and technological innovative talents, so as to inject strong scientific and technological momentum into the high-quality economic and social development of Liuzhou.
