News from News Center (Text by Zhang Yingfeng from School of Automotive Engineering   Photos by Wu Xing from School of Automotive Engineering) On January 8, 2021, a “Ling Master” seminar on SGMW industry and education integration, which was sponsored by SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile (SGMW), was held at Ramada Plaza Liuzhou. Qu Fan, Vice President of our College, Wu Xing, Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering and He Zhizhong, Director of the College-Enterprise Cooperation Department attended the conference.

The experts addressed the development trend of industries like vocational education, new energy and intelligent connection at the conference, introduced the “Ling Master” project, exchanged experience in college-enterprise cooperation, and finally carried out a college commendation activity for the college-enterprise cooperation. This conference is conducive to implementing the spirit of the National Vocational Education Conference, promoting the high-quality development of modern vocational education and the cooperation between colleges and enterprises, optimizing the college-enterprise cooperation model, deepening the connotation of college-enterprise cooperation, and boosting the development of college-enterprise cooperation projects and the integration of industry and education.

The college-enterprise cooperation between our College and SGMW has a long history. Adhering to the original intention of serving local industries, our College focuses on the development needs of local industries, and proactively empowers the industrial development in Liuzhou, innovates the institutional mechanism of college-enterprise cooperation with the main line of “cooperative schooling, cooperative education, cooperative employment and cooperative development”, and has been vigorously supporting the training and introduction of talents in enterprises with high-quality teaching and talent resources. The College and the enterprise have established a deep friendship of long-term strategic cooperation.

Our College cooperated with SGMW in July 2021 to establish the “SGMW Intelligent Vehicle Training Center” and “SGMW Global Service Training Center” of “Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry College”, which will mainly carry out intelligent connection, vehicle connection and overseas technology training, etc. The “SGMW Auto Paint Center” will be jointly established to provide the auto paint service in new energy direct-sale stores. Our College continues the deep college-enterprise cooperation with SGMW, and has therefore become an excellent cooperative college of “Ling Master” for the integration of industry and education.
